This is the little cute ornery face of a ham. Liam Gregory is a little over 9 months old now. Coming from a new mom, time really does fly by even on the slow, hard days. It seems like yesterday we brought this little 6lb14oz little boy home, and now he’s crawling around destroying the same home!
Liam’s favorite thing right now is getting into the dog bowl. He loves playing in Hunter’s water and for some reason enjoys trying to eat the dog food. This is our new found problem these days, keeping Liam out of the dog bowls. I never thought this would almost be my biggest problem of the day. You know there are ways I could solve this fast, like putting the bowls up and taking them back down, but how is Liam ever going to learn the word “no” if I don’t say it a thousand times a day!
Like almost every 9 month old baby, Liam crawls into the smallest places, doing all the things he should not be doing. I have the toy box set out, with almost every toy humanly possible scattered across my living room floor and somehow Liam finds the computer charger cord. Or my favorite time when I could not find Liam for what seemed like ten minutes, and he was hiding in the smallest corner under the computer desk trying to pull the wifi cord out of the wall.
So my question is as a new mom, how do you baby proof your house so much that you still have the things you need to survive (like the wifi cord plugged into the wall). Nowadays I’m trying to remember to shut all the doors we aren’t using, blocking the dog bowls off, and trying to think of anything else his little hands can hang onto. This whole #momlife thing is all a trial and error type of thing. There’s my best #mom advice I can give to the new mommas!
Like in this picture, Liam has the brightest most happiest smile with his two front teeth, and just as fast can have the most lion sounding like cry in the world. It’s all about that balance with him 🙂 .
