Welcome to Simply & Chic! The creator behind the blog is me, Kylie Pool. I created Simply & Chic as a way to stay connected to all my loves, while raising my family and trying to survive the craziness of motherhood.At Simply & Chic you will find affordable yet trending women and baby style, all things beauty (specializing in makeup & skin care), every single little detail of the every day #momlife, fitness + health, occasional travel, and well I guess..everything lifestyle.
This idea arose during nap time one afternoon when I was googling, “how should stay at home moms keep their sanity?” With the help of google search engine my results were, “find something you’re passionate about and start up at home”. So here we are, ranging from fashion to beauty to motherhood. All things I love, have passion for, and dream of in one website.
You may wonder how I came up with Simply & Chic, the story behind my name is simple and chic. I come from and currently live in a “simple” small town in So. IL where I am raising my family on my significant others family farm (simple life right?). But amongst that I have a real chic personality for all things glamorous, sparkling, and of course the big city lights. Coming from my small town I often get, “why are you so dressed up?” and that is where “chic” was born into the name. My life is full of all things simple yet all things chic. Somewhere along the road between a small town girl and a city girl lies me. As you browse around Simply & Chic I hope you leave with a little more simplicity in your life and a little more chic in your closet!
People are always asking me what my next steps might be, and my answer is I am still trying to figure this thing out called life, but I like where it is taking me and I hope you follow along on my journey (I’ve got big plans so stay tuned).
Yes, I have a little boy with whom I dress up for every occasion, and why yes sometimes you will find me roaming around the city. That is called the chic lifestyle.
Yes, I will attend a family meal in the middle of nowhere in a corn field on a blanket, and why yes you can find me spending quality family time in the tractor on a Friday night. That is called simple lifestyle.
