This is the Chicken Bake recipe I have cooked multiple times and posted about. A lot of my followers have asked for the recipe so I decided to just make a post on it!
A dinner for the family to LOVE.
This crispy cheddar chicken is baked coated in sour cream, cheddar cheese, and ritz cracker crumbs…YUMMM!
Ingredients:
-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (I prefer the thin breasts)
-2 sleeves of Ritz crackers
-some salt and pepper to taste
-a small container of sour cream
-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Place crushed Ritz with salt and pepper to taste in one bowl.
3.Place the small container of sour cream in another bowl.
4. If you can assume…place the shredded cheese in another separate bowl as well.
5. Begin dipping each breast into sour cream (coating all sides), then place in the cheese bowl(coating all sides with cheese), and finally place the coated breast in the cracker bowl and coat all sides with crackers.
6. Place each breast into a well greased 8 X 8 or 9 x 13. (I use 8 x 8 so it cooks almost like a casserole.)
7. Cook covered with foil for 50-55 minutes.
8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes so it cooks to a crisp golden brown.
That’s it! And I really coat my chicken good, don’t be scared to load the cheese and crackers on it ๐
For those of you who calorie count I even have a nutrition label ๐
There is a yummy sauce you can add on top of it to serve I will list below.
(I never make this because I feel like this recipe already has so much flavor and toppings)
Ingredients for the sauce:
-1 can of cream of chicken soup
-1/8 cup sour cream
-2 tbsp butter
-2 tbsp milk
Instructions on how to make the sauce:
1. While chicken is finishing cooking, place sauce ingredients into a small pot and cook on medium high heat.
2. Stir until well combined and serve over chicken.
3. Add parsley for taste
4. ENJOY!
