Creating for me is its own kind of worship.
Definition of worship is “the feeling of expression or reverence for a deity.”
The first time I ventured outside of my small town to a city (Chicago) my horizon broadened. Wow there was life out there to create, and work out there to be done. There was an entire world out there I had no idea about. Ever since this day I was inspired, I could create anything I wanted and that was to create what all women need to feel empowered — style.
I personally love creating things from scratch, having a dream and a vision, concentrating in fashion makes this easy for me. The art of fashion is truly something I am passionate about, it’s amazing how many styles there are in the world and how you can take one outfit and make it into 50 other outfits just by the art of creating what you would like. There is nothing more powerful than putting on a red dress and heels to make you feel like a total boss. Give a girl the right dress and she can conquer the world, that is why I love fashion, empowering women.

You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it.
I want to create art and style to empower women. One day I want people to be afraid of the women I dress and create for.
Whether you are creating a start up business, a book, a blog, or creating a quilt, a blanket, a painting – whatever it is you are creating inside your mind or out for the world, you are simply creating because you have a God given ability to do so. We create as a gift to ourselves and to the higher power who gave us these abilities. But there is one thing, you cannot make people understand it. Someone else’s opinion of you is none of your business. These words are so dang powerful for anyone who tends to hold other people’s opinions before their own. If you are a creator, you have to be willing to put it out there in fear nobody will like it. We have to understand that every single person on earth has an opinion, and their opinion only has bearing on your work if you let it.
Deciding that something is bad simply because other people do not
like what I create and can’t understand it is not a theory I can co-sign.
Lastly if you are in the art of creating something right now like I am, you have to decide that you care more about creating your own magic work and pushing it out for the world to see than you do about how it will be received by the world.
If you’re unconcerned about other people’s interpretations on your work, then everything we create is going to be remarkable. For all my creators reading this, if there is one thing I hope you take from this..I hope you’ll remember this in your own life and I hope you will CREATE FOR YOURSELF.
